Rocky DEM, Inc. and EDRMedeso have signed an agreement to distribute the Rocky DEM software in the Nordics and the Baltics. With this agreement in place, the Nordic and Baltic markets will have easier access to Rocky DEM software, the most powerful, 3D Discrete Element Modeling (DEM) program available in the commercial market today. Rocky not only allows engineers to analyze the behavior of particles in their equipment designs, but with its excellent integration to the ANSYS Workbench products, Rocky also enables them to evaluate the impact of particles upon the structure, analyze the impact of fluids, and more.
“We work with the best partners in the world, so in the area of particle simulation, Rocky DEM is a natural choice! This software broadens the scope of the virtual lab and makes it possible to harden virtual prototypes even further before going into production,” said Marcus Oledal, VP of Sales at EDRMedeso. Since 1986, EDRMedeso has focused on providing the best tools for product simulation and BIM and is the leading Channel Partner in the Nordics for the entire ANSYS product suite, the world’s foremost tool for simulation.
“For us, it is very important to have a distribution channel partner like EDRMedeso, a company that not only has expertise in engineering simulation software but also has an excellent presence in the Nordic and Baltic markets. We feel that this partnership will serve our clients more efficiently,” says Rahul Bharadwaj, Vice-President of Engineering and Business Development for Rocky DEM, Inc.
The main goal of the partnership between Rocky DEM, Inc. and EDRMedeso is to facilitate the access to DEM software and its efficient use to more companies throughout the Nordic and Baltic region.
Since 1986, EDRMedeso has provided the market with leading tools for product simulation and BIM. As a complete partner, we also offer support, training and consulting services for these tools. The goal is to enable our customers to always get the most out of their software – this will lead to better products and buildings.
Rocky DEM, Inc. is the developer of Rocky, an advanced engineering program that uses Discrete Element Modeling (DEM) to predict the behavior of bulk solids and aids in the efficient design and optimization of material handling equipment and processes. Rocky is capable of simulating realistic particle shapes using polyhedral, particle breakage, boundary surface reduction due to wear, sticky and dry material contact laws, multiphysics, and more. Its explicit DEM solver uses either multi core CPU or GPU processing that drastically reduces computational run times. Rocky DEM, Inc. is a joint GDI and ESSS enterprise.
