Fluid Codes becomes a Rocky DEM distributor

Rocky DEM Inc. and Fluid Codes have signed an agreement to distribute the Rocky DEM software in the Middle East. “Becoming a Rocky DEM distributor helps us to diversify our simulation portfolio and having us as a distributor enables Rocky DEM, Inc. to expand into territories previously out of reach,” says José Ramón Rodríguez Mondéjar, Technical Services Manager of Fluid Codes.

For Fluid Codes, diversifying their simulation portfolio with Rocky DEM is a great differential. Since the Rocky software is fully integrated into ANSYS Workbench, it is a good choice for customers that want to use DEM to get greater insight into their product development. When asked about the expectations of the partnership, Mondéjar replied that Fluid Codes was really excited about the partnership. “The distribution of Rocky is the starting point of a great collaboration,” he said.

The main goal of this partnership is to facilitate access to an advanced Discrete Element Modeling (DEM) tool through the Middle East and North Africa regions, and reach more potential clients than any other simulation software company in those areas.

About Fluid Codes Ltd

Fluid Codes Ltd was founded in 1997 to address the fluid simulation requirements of industrial and academic organizations in the Middle East Region. Fluid Codes activities expand to encompass the full range of development, production, consultancy and support services offered to a broadly based engineering community throughout the Middle East Area.

About Rocky DEM, Inc.

Rocky DEM, Inc. is the developer of Rocky, an advanced engineering program that uses Discrete Element Modeling (DEM) to predict the behavior of bulk solids and aids in the efficient design and optimization of material handling equipment and processes. Rocky DEM is capable of simulating realistic and concave particle shapes, particle breakage, boundary surface reduction due to wear, sticky and dry material contact laws, multiphysics, and more. Its explicit DEM solver uses either multi-core CPU or GPU processing that drastically reduces computational run times. Rocky DEM, Inc. is a joint GDI and ESSS enterprise.
