The ANSYS Conference & CADFEM User’s Meeting (ACUM), held between June 24th and 26th, in Bremen, Germany, included both a Rocky DEM booth and a presentation on the benefits of the software. The participants of the event learned how Rocky can predict the flow and behavior of particulate and bulk solid handling equipment and processes. They also learned about the complete integration of Rocky with ANSYS Workbench. This important coupling will provide Rocky users with a seamless and deep integration between CFD, FEA, and DEM solvers.
This was the first time that Rocky was displayed in ACUM; CADFEM is the official German distributor of Rocky in Europe. With Rocky in its portfolio of products, CADFEM will now have the best Discrete Element Modeling (DEM) software, thus offering a complete set of CAE simulation packages to the industry. Rocky is the only software that can accurately describe different particle shapes and size distributions along with advanced particle breakage models.

ACUM is Europe’s largest annual conference for simulation-related topics. ‘Convergence’ is the motto of the conference where about 800 ANSYS users and a CAE-interested audience come together to exchange ideas and learn about new products.
